Russell J. Brown, 70, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph N. and Joyce J. (Koban) Brown.

Russell was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. He began working at Occidental Chemical Corporation, and also owned and operated Brown Construction for many years prior to his retirement.

Russell was an avid golfer. He enjoyed to gamble and play cards. He also looked forward to having weekly breakfast with his buddies and cherished spending time with his family and friends. He took delight in long cruises around town with the top-down listening to Frank Sinatra. He loved to travel and have a good time. Russell was truly the life of every party.

Russell is survived by his daughters, Nikki C. Brown and Nina C. Brown (mother Jacquelynn A. Brown); his grandson, Maxwell A. Dikcis-Brown; his sisters, Patricia (Michael) Dudek of Las Vegas and Donna (Jim) Gwizdowski of Niagara Falls, his longtime companion, Candy VanEpps and her sons Chuck and Cliff VanEpps; as well as nieces and nephews, Michelle, Kelly, Kevin, Jamie and Robert.  In addition to his parents, Russell was predeceased by his siblings, Richard (Vicky) Brown and Robert Brown.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 19 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM.
