Russell LoVerdi, 81, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on August 25, 2020 at his residence while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Mount Morris, NY, he was the son of the late Nunzio and Jennie (Faso) LoVerdi.

Russell was employed as a Chemical Operator and in Safety at Occidental Chemical Corporation in Niagara Falls, NY for 35 years, where he was also a Union Representative.  He loved his dogs, and will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

Russell is survived by his wife, Penny M. (Cole) LoVerdi, his children, Victoria (Todd), Carolyn (John), Teresa (Brian), Russell (Dina) and Michelle (Ronald); 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; his brother, Anthony LoVerdi, his aunt, Josephine (late Victor) Rippo, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by wife Carol.  In addition, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Antoinette (late Peter) Barstys, Donald (Shirley) LoVerdi, Jane (late Frank) Gariano, Carrie (late Al) Jones, Nunzio (late Gloria) LoVerdi, Dominic (late Ruth) LoVerdi, Joseph LoVerdi and Samuel (late Margaret) LoVerdi, as well as the children's mother, Dorothy.

Private funeral services and inurnment will be held for family members at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 1 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 3806 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
