Russell J. Pascucci, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Center.  Born March 9, 1923 in Herkimer, NY, he was the son of the late Salvatore Joseph and Martha (Bianca) Pascuzzi.

Russ came to Niagara Falls as a child with his family and attended local schools, graduating from Trott Vocational.  He served his nation as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946.  Russ earned a Purple Heart for his brave sacrifice and was honorably discharged.  On June 5, 1947 he married Phyllis P. (Arkas) Pascucci in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mrs. Pascucci predeceased him on January 5, 2002.

Russ was a pipefitter by trade and was employed at various local plants including Hooker Chemical Corporation, Olin Mathieson, and Carborundum Co., from where he retired in 1977.  Russ was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247 and the Disabled American Veterans.  In his spare time, Russ enjoyed playing golf and bowling in local leagues, travelling to Las Vegas, gardening, and fixing things. In addition, he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to the horse races, and especially enjoyed watching boxing.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered for his devout Catholic faith, gentle spirit and genuine smile.

Mr. Pascucci is survived by his children, Salvatore (Sandy) Pascucci, Russell (Vicki) Pascucci, and Marta (Mark) Schug; his eleven grandchildren, Tiffany, Jillian, Nina, Angelo, Dana (James 'Bo') Catanese, Tara, Stephanie, David, Eric, Heather, and Hillary; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his wife of 58 years, Russ was predeceased by his son, David (Emily) Pascucci, and his siblings, Mary (late Joseph) Forcucci, Angelo (late Mary) Pascuzzi, Jennie (late Charles) Chiodo, Nellie (late Carmen 'Mello') Previte, Rose (late Nick) Pusateri, Salvatore 'Sam' (late Yolanda) Pascucci, and late Yolanda (late James) Sorta.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6th from 4 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where prayers will be held at 9:15 A.M. on Friday, September 7 ^th , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.  Please visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
