Ruth L. Angelo, 83, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of John and Josephine (Pugliese) Liples.

Ruth attended local schools in Scranton. On October 27, 1956, she married her loving husband, Raymond Angelo. Ray predeceased her on August 9, 2016 after 60 memorable years together. For over 30 years, Ruth was employed at the former Kimberly Clark and Cascades Plant; and later as the Supervisor of Employee Benefits at Nitec Paper Corporation until her retirement in 1989.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing and made many handmade charitable gifts for nursing homes, churches, family and friends. She also enjoyed designing and maintaining her beautiful collection of Barbie Doll outfits.

Ruth is survived by her two sisters, Esther Schambach of Mechanicsburg, PA and Carmella Starner of Camp Hill, PA. In addition, she is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by her five brothers, Bart, Martin, George, Vincent and John Liples, as well as two sisters, Pauline and Mary Liples.

Private funeral services with Ruth's nephews, Rev. Jim Schambach, Rev. Rob Starner and Rev. Mark Gregori, will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
