Ruth A. Hengst, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 13, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Earl A. and Ruth J. (Greenman) Hengst.

Ruth was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  She worked for 20 years as a waitress at the former Main Street Café and most recently worked at the Why Coffee Shop for the past 2 years as a waitress and cook.  Ruth was an avid patron of local business, and enjoyed going to the casino.  She was an avid NASCAR fan and also loved the Buffalo Bills.  She will be remembered for her spicy yet sweet nature.  Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother to her family.

Ruth is survived by her children, Troy (Sara) Hengst, Tanya (Kurt) Vogt, and Leanna Hengst; her grandchildren, Austin, Nathan, Autumn, Owen, and Julianna; her lifelong partner, William Marrero; her siblings, Butch (Lori) Dehr, John (late Monica) Hengst, Susan (late Jack) Golightly, and Dennis (Deborah) Hengst, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by 6 siblings.
