Ruth Kedzielawa of Niagara Falls, NY died on Friday March 6, 2009 in St. Marys Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY she was the daughter of the late Louis and Florence (Parsons) Melhado.

Ruth married her husband Frank J. Kedzielawa on January 19, 1947 in St. Josephs Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. He predeceased her in 1990. Ruth moved to Niagara Falls in 1955 coming from Norfolk, VA, and graduated from Trott Vocational where she received her Degree as a License Practical Nurse. She worked as an LPN for St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY retiring in 1976. Ruth was an avid reader and was known for her great sense of humor. She was a devoted Catholic and was active with the St. Theresa's and Bishop Duffy's Mothers Club. Most of all she looked forward to spending time with her grand children.

She is survived by two children; Ann Marie(Phil) Holody of Niagara Falls, NY, Frank S. Kedzielawa of Grand Island, NY, two grandchildren Jennifer Holody of Niagara Falls, NY and Kelly Holody of Boston, MA. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday March 9th at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Raphael's Parish corner of College and Macklem Avenues Niagara Falls, NY.
