Ruth M. Metro, 90, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on November 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Facility under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mayme (Dvorak) Pattie of Minneapolis, MN.

Ruth moved to Niagara Falls, NY after her marriage to Joseph J. Metro in June of 1953.  Mr. Metro predeceased her on April 30, 1993.  Ruth was a devoted employee of Tops Supermarkets for over 35 years.  She will be remembered for her funny personality and always wanted to be with her family and friends.  Ruth and her sister Elva traveled the world together, creating many adventures in their later years.

Ruth is survived by her children, Robert (Patty) Metro, James Metro, AnnMarie (Ron) Salviski, and Carol Greco; she is lovingly remembered as "Moe" to her grandchildren, Danielle Metro and Christopher (Nicole) Metro, Nicholas (Heather) Jamieson, Sarah (Jason) Hanson, Katie Cumbo, Melissa (Jason) Murakami and Joseph (Courtney) Cumbo, and was a bonus grandmother to Anna (Dan) Hart and Maria Salviski.  She was also the great-grandmother to Alexa Rose, Dominik and Veronika Cumbo, Hudson Murakami, Dominick, Kristen and Carmen Metro, Connor and Ian Hart, and Liliana and Jack Hanson.   She also leaves to be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband of 39 years, she was predeceased by her sister, Elva McMullin, and her brother-in-law, Frank (late Helen) Metro.

A Celebration of Life will be held a later date, where services will be officiated by her nephew, Fr. Daniel McMullin.  Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements by M.J.
