Ruth M. (Weed) Wilson, 84 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away at her residence on Saturday January 23, 2010 while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Newfane, NY she was the daughter of the late Herman and Esmeralda (Cottrel) Weed.

Ruth moved to the Niagara Falls area in 1964. For a short time she worked for United Taxi in Niagara Falls, and later La Hacienda Restaurant also located in Niagara Falls. In her leisure time, Ruth enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, dancing, singing karaoke and watching John Wayne movies. She was an animal lover and sports enthusiast, particularly of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. Ruth also participated in various local bowling leagues and was a member of the V.F.W #917 Women's Auxiliary in Niagara Falls.

Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her husband Ernest Wilson. She is survived by her four children, April White, Sandra Scott, Raymond (Teresa) Scott and Barbara Scott all of Niagara Falls, NY, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother Rev. Donald Weed of Lockport, NY, one sister Mildred Mattoon of Ransomville, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three brothers, James Weed, Herman Weed, Theodore Weed and two sisters, Jessie Merrill and Alice Chamberlain.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON FUNERAL CHAPEL 468 19TH STREET NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Thursday January 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald Weed officiating.
