Ryan P. Carney, 38, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on June 30, 2025. Born and raised in Lewiston, Ryan was the beloved son of Diane DiMatteo Carney and Michael R. Carney Sr.

Ryan was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and was employed by the Town of Lewiston Highway Department for over 16 years. He was a gifted artist with a talent for drawing, and found great joy in being outdoors, especially when fishing or camping.

Ryan cherished family traditions, particularly during the holidays, and brought laughter and love into every gathering. His zest for life was unforgettable. He was always the life of the party, whether he was dancing, cracking a joke, or savoring the moment with those he loved.

Above all, Ryan's greatest pride and joy was his son, Declan. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to fatherhood, always present at Declan's sporting events and treasuring their time spent fishing and exploring together.

In addition to his parents, Diane and Michael, and his son, Declan, Ryan is survived by his brother, Michael (Brittany Roulley) Carney Jr.; his nieces, Brooklyn Carney and Georgia Carney; Declan's mother, Laura DuMoulin; his maternal grandmother, Ann Marie (late Michael) DiMatteo; his aunts and uncles, Michele (Bill) LoStracco, Pamela (Anthony) Mancini, Sheri (Joseph) Nicoletti, Donna Carney-Olson and David (Kelly) Barr; as well as many loving cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Carney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be entrusted to Declan Carney, care of Michael Carney Jr., for the benefit of Declan Carney. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at later date to be announced.
