Obituary

S. Lenore (Freeman) Rinehuls, 90, of Niagara Falls passed away Saturday November 5, 2011 at her residence with her son Don, and daughter-in-law Judie at her bedside, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Elizabeth Freeman.

Lenore attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School business program. She began working in the office at the former Carborundum Coporation, and later worked in the office at Wendt's Dairy in Niagara Falls for over twenty-nine years. During World War II she served as a lieutenant air raid warden with the United States Civil Defense Corps in Niagara Falls. Lenore enjoyed following all types of sports, especially Buffalo Bills football and Buffalo Sabres hockey. She had played catcher on Carborundum's ladies softball team in the Industrial League. An excellent cook, who was always willing to try new recipes, she centered her life on her family.

Mrs. Rinehuls was predeceased by her husband Charles P. Rinehuls on February 12, 1978. She is survived by a son Don (Judie) Rinehuls of Town of Niagara, NY; three grandchildren Traciann VanEvery, Cindy (James) Carbin, Brandi (Louis) Morreale; six great-grandchildren Cerulean and Kenneth VanEvery, Kahlan and Richard Carbin, and Salvatore and Jonah Morreale; nieces Elizabeth Gallagher, Aune Jamieson, and Carolann Goodwin; and special friend Yvonne Pascuzzi. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Lenore was predeceased by three sisters Alverda (Harold of Niagara Falls, NY) Allan, Annette Lindell, and Melva (Richard of Niagara Falls, NY) Drabczyk.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held Wednesday November 9th at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Bellingham, officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
