Sadie Jean Kotovich, 63, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, under the care of Niagara Hospice and her devoted family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Abraham "Abe" Moses and Janice (Hagerman) Sawma.

Sadie dedicated much of her life to helping others, working for many years as a home health care aide. She later was employed by the Seneca Niagara Casino until her retirement.

A true lover of nature, Sadie found happiness spending time outdoors while camping, boating or tending to her garden. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and attending concerts.

More than anything, Sadie treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Sadie is survived by her children, Melissa Lively Lackas, William "Roger" (Andrea) Lively and Nicholas (Ashley) Kotovich; her grandchildren, Hayleigh Lackas, Brieanna Lackas, Joshua Lackas, RJ Lively, Blake Lively, Caleb Kotovich, Kayleigh Kotovich, Cody Kotovich, and was sadly predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Dominique Lively in 2001. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Dominick Sirianni; her siblings, Helen Rozine (Peter) Nicosia, Doris (Michael) Bailor, David Sawma, Mary (Domenick) Pazzalia; her former husband, John Kotovich, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and her granddaughter, she was predeceased by one brother, Frank Sawma, Sr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 31 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
