Samuel J."Sam" Giarrizzo (73) of Niagara Falls, NY died Friday May 28, 2010 in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosa (Saia) Giarrizzo.

Sam was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He was employed at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls, NY and retired from Washington Mills also of Niagara Falls, NY.

Sam is survived by his brother and sister, Charles J. (late Mary) Giarrizzo of Niagara Falls, NY and Libby (late Michael) Dabramo of Niagara Falls, Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Sam was predeceased by two sisters Rose (late Mario) Portese and Anna Marie Giarrizzo.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial Tuesday June 1st at 12:00pm noon at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph parish in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th and Independence Street, Niagara Falls NY with the Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in St. Josephs Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Restoration Fund. ARRANGEMENTS BY M.J.
