Sandra "Sandy" A. (Galeziowski) Marasco, 49, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday January 27, 2011 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Elinor (Perno) Galeziowski of Niagara Falls, NY and the late John Galeziowski Sr.

Sandy was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated in 1979 as Class Valedictorian from the former LaSalle Senior High School. She then attended Daemen College in Buffalo, NY where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Records Administration and continued her education at the University of Buffalo earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Sandy was employed in the Medical Records Department of Sheehan Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, NY and later at N.F. Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY and was currently a program coordinator for the Tobacco Cessation Program at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. On May 22, 2004 she married Robert J. Marasco at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at gatherings and entertaining them in her home. Sandy will be remembered as a giving and generous person throughout her lifetime and also gave the give the gift of life through her organ donation.

In addition to her husband and mother, Sandra is survived by three sisters and two brothers Cathy (Mike) Murray of Hamburg, NY; John Galeziowski Jr., Mary Ann (Jim) Craw of Orchard Park, NY; Andrea Galeziowski of Chandler, AZ and Andrew (Angela) Galeziowski of Atlanta, GA; her nieces and nephews Cristin and Patrick Murray, Kelsey and Matthew Craw, Angela and Michael DiMatteo, Lenora and Cristina Galeziowski, Adam Marasco and Sarah and Scott Ginter, her father-in-law Richard (late Irene) Marasco of Niagara Falls, NY, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday January 31st at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
