Sarah (Catanese) Fratello, 99, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. Born in Sidney, PA she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Edria (Basile) Catanese.

Sarah was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. On June 4, 1941 she married Anthony Fratello at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Fratello predeceased her on November, 1945. Sarah worked for Mom's Family Restaurant in Niagara Falls for Fifty three years. In her leisure time, Sarah enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her excellent wedding cakes.

Mrs. Fratello is survived by her daughter Nina Trybala of Conroe, TX and was predeceased by one son, Anthony Fratello. Survivors also include six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters, Grace Catanese, Frank (Carmela of Lewiston, NY) Catanese, Mary (late Joseph) Caperchione, Mae (late Frank) Bonnadonna, Joseph (Paula of Niagara Falls, NY) Catanese, Anthony (Elaine of Lewiston, NY) Catanese and Frances (late Louis) DeFazio.

There will be no prior visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
