Obituary

Sarah A. (DeSantis) Patti, 85 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday May 11, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late, Thomas and Mary (Rizzo) DeSantis.

Sarah was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On May 28, 1949, she married William D. Patti, Sr. in St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Patti predeceased her on March 9, 2006. For a short time, she was employed at the former Kimberly Clark Corp. and later Carborundum Co. both located in Niagara Falls. For over twenty years she worked alongside her husband and son as the office manager of their family business William D. Patti & Son Polygraph Service. Sarah was actively involved in several local volunteer church organizations, and for many years served as a lecturer at the former St. Charles Borromeo Church. Above all, Sarah enjoyed cooking, gardening, and caring for her family.

Mrs. Patti is survived by her two children, Marilyn (Michael) Feldhousen of Pittsford, NY and William D. (Jeannine) Patti, Jr. of Lewiston, NY, seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Dr. Anu) Singh, Melanie (Brian) Mierzwa, Nicole (Paul) Lane, William (Brieanna) Patti, III, Frank Patti, Anthony Patti and Thomas Patti, six great-grandchildren, Maddy and Anna Singh, Penny and Rigby Lane, Cooper and Chase Mierzwa, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one sister, Rose (Frank of Niagara Falls, NY) Greco and two brothers, Salvatore (late Kathleen) DeSantis and Joseph (Ellen of Maryland) DeSantis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday May 16th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. If desired memorial offerings may be made to the Nicaragua Mission Project, c/o Ann Marie Zon 10100 Transit Rd.
