Shelley M. (Ferrusi) Harris, 56, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away at her residence on Thursday April 7, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Betty Jane (Lopez) Ferrusi and the late Mario J. Ferrusi.

Shelley was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for thirty years, where she was awarded the Nurse of Compassion Award through the Community Missions in 1997, and again in 2004 while working at Northpointe Counsel Inc., Methadone Maintenance Program. Shelley was also a sales distributor for Avon products. In her leisure time she enjoyed bowling, crocheting and making jewelry. Shelley will be remembered as a very caring and giving person who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shelley is survived by two children, Sara B. (Robert) Winslow, Jr. and John M. "Jon-Jon" Harris of Niagara Falls, two grandchildren, Miranda and Reed, one brother Rocco L. (Denise) Ferrusi of Niagara Falls, her companion George W. Mort of Niagara Falls, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 13th from 4-5 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Minister Paul DeLorenzo officiating.
