Shirlie Haig (nee Movesian), 86, niece of Howard & Sadie Toorigian, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:30 AM, after 15 years with Alzheimers.

Shirlie was originally from Niagara Falls NY, and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  After graduating, she went to hairdressing school and then worked at Clairol as a hair colorist.  She would eventually work at IBM where she retired in 1994.

She is survived by her two sons Jamie Haig and Jeff Haig and predeceased by her daughter Leslie Goodwin, and her siblings Kaiser Movesian, Bumper Movesian, Sam Movesian and Carol Moomjian.  Also survived by nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.

She was strong & resilient, always smiling, always gave hugs and kisses, and always wanted to tell you she loved you.

On Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 10 AM, there will be a prayer service followed by a luncheon, both at St Gregory Armenian Church, located at 1131 North St, White Plains, NY 10605.  She will be laid to rest on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at 11 AM after a short service at Oakwood Cemetery, 763 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  If desired, donations can be made to St Sarkis Armenian Church, 300 Ninth St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Arrangements by M.J.
