Silvio G. De Rubeis, age 90, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 2, 1935, in Gagliano Aterno, L'Aquila, Italy, to the late Romolo and Maria Stella (Salciccioli) De Rubeis. Silvio immigrated to Niagara Falls in 1947 at the age of 13 and attended local schools.

On February 27, 1954, he married Marcia E. Eberhart at Sacred Heart Church. Silvio worked at the International Paper Mill for 13 years until its closing in 1964. He then began his career at Harrison Radiator (General Motors) in 1965, where he remained until his retirement in 1991.

Silvio was a devoted and wonderful husband, father, papa, and proud dog papa who cherished time with his loved ones and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling, riding his motorcycle, cooking pasta for Sunday dinner, and going to the casino.

He is survived by his son, Silvio G. (Francine) De Rubeis II; his grandchildren, Maria (Scott VeRost) Knoebel and Silvio G. (Becky) De Rubeis III; his great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Olivia Knoebel; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Silvio was predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Marcia (Eberhart) De Rubeis; his brother, Fernando (Nellie) De Rubeis; and his nephew, Fernando De Rubeis.
