Silvio J. Martelli, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on
Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Niagara Rehabilitation Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Edmund and Elizabeth (Magliarditi)Martelli.

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Silvio attended local
schools and graduated from Bryant and Stratton College. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable
discharge on November 2,1951.

On March 29, 1951 he married Lucy (Caprio) Martelli at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Silvio worked alongside his father as an assistant manager at the family's beverage
company, Falls Distributors and also owned and operated Silvio's Restaurant. He later served the community for many years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.

Silvio was an extremely devout Catholic and longtime member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also an avid chess player and member of the N.F. Chess Club.

Silvio is survived by his three children, Edmund Martelli, Silvio Martelli and Rocco (Chiara)Martelli all of Niagara Falls, NY; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and three brothers-in-law James(Jean) Caprio of Grand Island, NY, Richard (Jolly) Caprio of the Town of Niagara and John Agnello of Niagara Falls. Silvio is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Ann Marie (John Agnello).

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, November 17th at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls,NY.
