Sophie (Sidoni) DiCamillo, age 88, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at her residence in Lewiston, NY, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Scibilia) Sidoni.

She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950, and married her high school sweetheart, Robert DiCamillo, at St. Joseph Church in 1955. She worked as an administrative assistant at Rose C. Pino Insurance for many years. Although she was well known for her superb cooking and baking skills, more importantly, she was a giving and generous person and was most proud of and devoted to her family and faith.

In addition to her loving husband of 65 years, she is survived by her beloved children, Denise (David) Appel of Wexford, PA, Robert (JoAnn) DiCamillo of Lewiston, NY, and Debbie (Craig) Walters of Landenberg, PA; her grandchildren, Megan (Nicholas) Hill, Lauren (Mark) Bodnar, Lindsay (Denny) Flynn, Marissa (Greg) DiCamillo, Michael Walters, Matthew Walters, and Jessica (Marc) DiCamillo; her great-grandchildren, Nico and Angelo Hill, Teddy Flynn, Sam Bodnar, and one expected great-grandson, sister-in-law Rose (late Patrick) DiCamillo, as well as many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary (Peter) Colosi, Rose (Sam) Antonucci, and Joseph (Anita) Sidoni. She was the daughter-in-law of Peter and Mary (Tavano) DiCamillo and sister- in-law of Patrick DiCamillo and Virginia (James) Pascoe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 6, at 12:30 PM, at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Please assemble at church and follow all COVID-19 protocols. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Joseph Church or to Niagara Hospice.
