Stanley Clifford Lebold, 92, of Wheatfield, NY passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Boliver Ohio, he was the son of the late Clifford and Selma (Mauer) Lebold.


Mr. Lebold attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio graduating in 1943 with a B.S. in Business Administration and was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honorary Society. In October 1942, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and was involved in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns. He was decorated with the Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, EAMET Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal AR 600-68. After serving our country and being honorably discharged, he attended the Akron Law School at Akron University receiving his J.D. Degree in 1951 under the G.I.Bill, while working at Pittsburgh Valve & Fitting Corp. From 1951 until 1996 Mr. Lebold was an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association. On December 3, 1960 he married Eleanor (Scalzo) Lebold at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, NY.


Stanley worked continuously from December 1945 until 1992 principally as a Corporate Tax Attorney for several corporations, including the Carborumbum Co., as the Corporate Treasurer which led to his retirement from British Petroleum of America. Stanley was a member of the Toastmasters Club. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing poker and billiards.


In addition to his wife of fifty three years, Mr. Lebold is survived by five children Alan (Diane) Lebold of Niagara Falls, NY; Sue (Art) Ruska of North Tonawanda, NY; David (Elaine Davis) Lebold of Niagara Falls, NY; Janice Mahon and Sandra Bartone both of Watkins Glen, NY; nine grandchildren Sam, Joe, Phil, Chris, Zack, Valerie, Brett, Anne and Natalie; two great grandchildren Georgia and Henry; his aunt, Verna Mauer and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Homer Lebold.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6th at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Lee Holliday officiating. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY with military honors.
