Stanley J. Szymaszek, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY entered into heaven on Sunday May 13, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born on January 4, 1921in Massena, NY he was the son of the late John and Julia Szymaszek.

Stanley served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. On May 31, 1947 he married Gertrude (Kujawa) Szymaszek in Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Szymaszek predeceased him on January 29, 2012 after sixty four years of marriage. The youngest of four children, Stanley was a hard worker his entire life. He was employed at American Terrazzo in Niagara Falls, NY for several years.

Mr. Szymaszek is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Szymaszek) Iacovitti and son-in-law August A. of Lewiston, NY; one grandson Albert S. Iacovitti and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother, Steven Simms and two sisters, Jeanette Alex and Stella Szymaszek.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday May 18th at 9:00 a.m. at St. John DeLaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Lynn Shumway officiating, concluding with Military Honors. Entombment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by M.J.
