Stanley Zankowski, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday January 2, 2010 at Crestwood Health Care Facility in Wheatfield, NY.

Stanley was born in Niagara Falls, NY and was the son of the late Adam and Anna (Malecki) Zauczkowski. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. On September 30, 1939 he married Clara (Walasek) Zankowski in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Zankowski predeceased him in February 1999. Stanley worked in the shipping department at DuPont in Niagara Falls for over forty years and retired in 1980. He enjoyed woodworking and was very skilled as a wood craftsman.

Mr. Zankowski is survived by his three children, Karen (Paul) Grandstaff of Niagara Falls, NY, John (Kathleen) Zankowski of Fairport, NY, and Janet (Nicholas) Vaylen of Grand Island, NY; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Stanley was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.

Family will be present to receive friends Monday 4 – 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jacek Mazur, officiating.
