Obituary

Stephen L. Lively, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 12, 2026 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Jeral Lively and the late Shirley Denman.

Stephen was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. For 20 years, he owned and operated Lively Lawns until his retirement. On December 31, 2015, he married Tina L. (Salciccioli) Lively in Grand Island, NY. Most recently, he was employed for two years with Starline USA Inc. in Grand Island as a maintenance supervisor—a position he truly enjoyed. He loved his co‑workers, and they loved him.

Stephen found joy in the outdoors, especially landscaping and fishing. He had a natural talent for fixing anything and was an avid New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed listening to classic rock, watching old movies, and spending time tinkering in his garage. He loved to cook and was well known for his signature “low and slow” hamburgers. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who were the love of his life.

Stephen will be remembered for his charismatic personality, his willingness to help anyone in need, and his thoughtful nature. He never wanted to say no and was always ready to lend a hand.

In addition to his wife of 10 years, Stephen is survived by his son, David (Cindy) Lively; his stepsons, Marco (Tawny) Aronne and Michael (Shelby) Aronne; five grandchildren; his brothers, Richard Lively (Wendi Jeffords) and Thomas Lively; his mother‑in‑law, Karen Salciccioli (Ron D’Grillo); and his sister‑in‑law, Lisa (Dr. Salvatore, DDS) Manente. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was sadly predeceased by his son, Stephen M. Lively, and his siblings, David, Tim, and Barry (Katja).

There will be no prior visitation or funeral services. A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held at a future date. Stephen’s final act of compassion was giving the ultimate gift of life through donation to ConnectLife. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to ConnectLife Blood and Organ Donor Network at https://www.connectlife.org/. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
