Susan "Shushan" (Glorian) Dosdourian, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on February 29, 2016, after suffering complications of a stroke. Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Krikor and Oski Glorian.
Susan moved to Niagara Falls after marrying her late husband Manoog Dosdourian, who predeceased her in 1972. Together they owned and operated the Victory Lunch Restaurant on Niagara Street. Susan later worked for the Niagara Falls Board of Education as an aide in several area schools retiring at the age of 83 after 20 years of service. She had been a longtime volunteer at the John Duke Center in Niagara Falls, a member of the Echota Seniors and Our Lady of Lebanon Senior's Group, with whom she enjoyed playing cards and taking day trips.
In addition to her husband, Susan was also predeceased by her son Michael, daughter Marilyn, sister Florence Glorian, and brother John Glorian, as well as several other relatives. Survivors include her remaining children Samuel (Patricia) Dosdourian, Donna Dosdourian, with whom she lived, and Julie Anna (Robert) Chandran; one granddaughter Susan (Brian) Washburn, four great-grandchildren Brandon, Morgan, Alexandra and Cameron Washburn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
There will be no prior visitation. Private interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery. A Memorial Service at St. Hagop's Armenian Apostolic Church will be announced at a later date.
