Susan A. Smith, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11th, 2018 at Northgate Manor. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the loving daughter of the late Gino and Mary (Carbella) Fontanarosa.

Susan attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle High School. On February 7, 1966 she married her beloved husband, Richard B. Smith at Prince of Peace Church.

Susan was active in her children's schools throughout their childhood years and worked as a Librarian at Niagara Catholic. She retired from Univera Health Care in 2006, after serving many years as an Administrative Assistant.

Susan was a former President and member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club. Above all, Mrs. Smith's life was devoted to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Susan is survived by her children, Stacy (Donald Andres) Hoover and Adam Smith; her cherished granddaughter, Quinn Hoover; three siblings Anne (William) Lyon, Diane Sams and Peter Fontanarosa, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her best friend since the age of 13, Chris Burridge. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Kenneth (Mary) Smith, Gretchen (Paul) Brown, Robert (Mary Jane) Smith and William (Vicki) Smith.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 10 A.M.
