Susan Zarrillo, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019, surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Newburgh, NY, She is the daughter of Margaret H. (Harris) Corey and the late Don A. Corey.

Susan attended local schools and graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Potsdam and later graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Master's Degree in Education from Niagara University.

Sue was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as a patient accountant for many years until her retirement in 2018. She will be deeply missed by her NFMMC family and Apple Granny family, where she also worked at in the past. Her incredible work ethic and love for people will forever be remembered.

Susan had a passionate love for children and was the author of two children's books. She also was a talented artist and painter.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Thomas Zarrillo, her daughter, Alexis Thompson; the light of her life and grandson, Holden Smith; five stepchildren; three siblings, Alexis (William) Gross, Martha (Nicholas) Fiore, and Thomas D.(Jeanette) Corey; her stepmother, Phyllis Corey; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 ^th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 10 A.M. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
