Obituary

Teresa Holland-Zeigler, 64, was born on October 29, 1957, to the loving union of Leeverne Holland Sr. and Wanda M. (Holland) Gais in Niagara Falls, NY. She departed this life on Thursday, September 8, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior.

Teresa had a passion for helping people, which led to her working with special needs populations within the Las Vegas area. One of her gifts was understanding how to connect with people and giving everyone what they needed. Her service to the community was directly influenced by her Christian faith as a devoted member of Mountaintop Faith Ministries in Las Vegas, NV, and Potter's House Christian Community Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Teresa, affectionately known as "Terri" resided in Las Vegas, NV. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Community College with an Associates degree in Human Services (1996); Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, Buffalo State College (1998); Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Buffalo State College (2000). Terri was a persevering mother of two, who believed in helping others be the best they could be. She used her personal testimony to connect with people while always giving God the glory! No matter what time, if someone needed help, she was there to greet them with open arms. Programs such as Upward Bound utilized her skill sets to help disadvantaged youth within the Niagara Falls, NY area. In 2004, she relocated to Atlanta, GA accepting a job with Yellow Book USA but later transferred to Las Vegas, NV to be close to her son and first granddaughter. After six years with Yellow Book USA, she enjoyed driving Limo and Shuttle Buses for ODS & Bell Trans prior to ending her career with Serenity Mental Health and WeCare Behavioral Health Agencies. Her passion for advocating and working with the disadvantaged was instrumental in her selfless career choices in serving the needs of others. Terri certainly had a way of turning lemons into lemonade and that is how she lived her life, which in turn influenced others to live the same. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Teresa is predeceased by her daughter, Leone' Lawanda Stallworth (1985), granddaughter, Solana Teresa Holland (2021), and parents, Wanda M. Gais (2013) and Leeverne Holland Sr. (1988). She is survived by two sons, Chester Holland (Sheila Holland) and Darien Holland both of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Nevaeh Holland, Mya Holland, and Noah Holland, Las Vegas, NV. Five siblings, Ms. Jacqueline Reed, Cincinnati, OH; Mrs. Karen Smith (Wavley), Lawrenceville, GA; Mrs. Patrice Woods (Glenn), Clarksville, TN; Mr. Leeverne Louis Holland Jr., Niagara Falls, NY; Mrs. Janice Longboat (Pastor Robert), Niagara Falls, NY; Special "aunt," Ms. Vivian Watkins; Special "sister," Ms. Laura Porter, Niagara Falls, NY; Goddaughter, Shataquwa Davis, Niagara Falls, NY; Godson, Nicholas Kincannon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who loved her. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Potter's House Christian Community Church located at 723 7th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
