Thelma G. (Blake) Cattarin, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Saturday July 25, 2009 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Victoria (Payne) Blake.
Born and educated in Trout, West Virginia, Thelma came to the Niagara Falls area in the 1950's. On December 16, 1986 she married James A. Cattarin in Niagara Falls, NY. Thelma was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge #158 in Niagara Falls, NY and was an avid gardener and loved flowers.
In addition to her husband of twenty-two years, Thelma is survived by two children, Debbie (Mike) Gandt and Pamela Watson, both of Ransomville, NY; her step-daughter Candy (William) LaRue of Niagara Falls, NY; nine grandchildren Richard, Johnny, Victoria, Amber, Ryan, Monica, Shannon, Tommy and William; several great-grandchildren; two sisters Connie and Mabel, both of Pensacola, FL and many nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased by five children: David Vance, Charles (Fran of Niagara Falls, NY) Vance, William (Pat of West Virginia) Blake, Roseann (Kenny of Ransomville, NY) Mills, and Betty Blake.
There is no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside prayer service on Monday July 27th at 11:00 AM at Riverdale Cemetery, 5605 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19th STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.
