Theodore 'Ted' Catherine, 71, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Theodore and Helen (Centofanti) Catherine; and the beloved husband of Ruby (Palumbo) Catherine, who he married on September 27, 1975 in Sacred Heart Church.

Ted was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and earned his Associate's degree in Accounting from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. He was employed as a restaurant manager for Carrols Corporation and managed several local Burger Kings (formerly Carrols), throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania.

Ted was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed bowling. He also loved vacationing on the Caribbean Islands and spending time at his family's cottage in Pleasant Beach, Canada.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Ted is survived by his siblings, Carla (James) Torrey and Anthony Catherine; his brother-in-law, Vito M. (Kathleen) Palumbo; his niece and nephew, Marsha (Brian) Rogers and Michael Palumbo (Crystal Walsh), as well as several other beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Charlene Heller.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31 from 5 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
