Theodore R. "Ted" Giaquinto, Jr., 62, of Grand Island, NY, and formerly of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 17, 2025.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Ted was the beloved son of Theodore, Sr. and Judith (Randler) Giaquinto. He was a proud 1981 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School and went on to earn his Associate's degree from Niagara County Community College. For more than 20 years, Ted dedicated his career to FedEx in Tonawanda, NY.

At the age of 25, Ted faced the life-altering challenge of a cancer diagnosis. Though given only six months to live, he drew strength from his faith and fought courageously, ultimately overcoming the disease. While the effects of the cancer treatment remained, Ted never complained. His resilience and quiet strength were a testament to his character as he was dealing with trials and tribulations daily.

A devout Catholic throughout his life, Ted taught religious education in his earlier years and lived his faith daily. He was instrumental in caring for his elderly mother and father, showing devotion and love. Known for his kindness and generosity, Ted was also admired for his intelligence and wide-ranging knowledge. He could converse on nearly any topic, always with thoughtfulness and insight.

Ted found joy in watching sports, especially cheering on his beloved Buffalo Bills. Yet above all, he cherished time spent with his family. As a loving son, brother, and uncle, he was happiest surrounded by those he held dear.

In addition to his parents, Ted is survived by his siblings, Michael Giaquinto, Elena Mendel, Mark (Julianne) Giaquinto; his beloved nieces and nephews, Maria (Eric), Anna, Jarrad (fiancé Meghan), Ariana, Brentyn (Ashley), Rhys, Giada, Celina (Jon), Marissa and Vincent. He was also the beloved great-uncle to six, and is also survived by his aunts, an uncle and many cousins, colleagues and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 21 from 2-5 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 5:00 PM.
