Theresa 'Terry' (Faiola) DeMonte, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2011 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (LaScala) Faiola.

Terry, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On March 31, 1951 she married Joseph A. DeMonte at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. She was employed as a legal secretary in the law office of Donald Drake, Esq. in Niagara Falls. She later worked as a mortgage collector at the former Niagara County Savings Bank also in Niagara Falls. Terry loved being a homemaker and was known for her delicious cooking and secret recipes. She also enjoyed crocheting, and anyone who ever met her was treated to one of her special handmade afghans and slippers. Above all, Terry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband of sixty years, Theresa is survived by one daughter, Gail (Jerry) DelZoppo of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by two sons, Robert DeMonte and Thomas DeMonte. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ben (Stacy) DelZoppo, Tessa DelZoppo, Noelle DelZoppo, Joseph DeMonte and Nicholas DeMonte, one sister Belle (Ken) Denman of Niagara Falls, NY; one niece, one nephew and several cousins.
