Thomas Guzzi, 85 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 3, 2017.  Born in Gimigliano, Catanzaro, Italy, he was the son of the late Giacopo 'Jacob' and Maria G. (Fabiano) Guzzi.  On March 14, 1959, Thomas married Julia R. (Paonessa) Guzzi, who predeceased him on March 2, 2011.

Tom worked as a blacksmith in Italy and volunteered in the underground assisting the U.S. in Italy during World War II.  He was employed at Sears Roebuck in Niagara Falls, NY in the maintenance department and retired after 28 years of service.  Tom was a member of the Teamsters Local #375 and Club Italia in Niagara Falls, Canada.  He also enjoyed playing bocce with his friends.

Mr. Guzzi was one of eleven children and is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy and Argentina.  Private funeral services were held on December 7th, 2017 with entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, 14301.
