Thomas J. Kennedy, 75, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on October 20, 2024 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Rose (Pace) Kennedy and the late Thomas M. Kennedy.

Tom grew up in New Jersey and was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Montvale, NJ.  He attended Niagara University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History and later a Masters' Degree in Eastern European History.  On October 15, 1977, he married Marilyn A. (Kuss) Kennedy.  Tom was employed for 32 years in Building Construction and Maintenance for National Grid in Buffalo, NY until his retirement in 2012, and was later a member of the National Grid Retirees' Club.  After retirement, he worked part-time for the Town of Lewiston Public Works Department up until his passing, maintaining the grass at the various town owned lands.

Tom was extremely volunteer oriented and civic minded.  In addition to many kids' programs throughout the community, he was a longtime member of St. Peter Church, where he served as an usher for 15 years and volunteered at St. Peter R.C. School. He also volunteered for the former Niagara Catholic High School.  He was also a member of the Fort Niagara Society, an organization that meant a great deal to him.

Tom enjoyed coaching baseball and gardening, and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. More than anything, Tom's family was the main focus and source of joy in his life, especially his children and grandchildren.  He will be remembered most for being a wonderful man – he was very caring and generous, and always took care of his neighbors, especially those who were elderly or sick.

In addition to his mother and his wife of 47 years, Tom is survived by his children, Thomas M. (Michelle) Kennedy, Brianne M. (Frank, Jr.) Bellavia, and Meghan A. Perlino; his grandchildren, Olivia Kennedy, John Kennedy, Frank Bellavia III, Zoe Bellavia, Mia Perlino, and Freya Perlino; his siblings, Annemarie (Lee) Tremble, James (late Theresa) Kennedy, Michael (Susan) Kennedy, Robert (Laura) Kennedy, and Maryellen (Mark) Yale, as well as many nieces and nephews, several cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27 from 1 – 5 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Thomas' Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 28 at 10 AM at St. Peter R.C.
