Timothy Michael Murray, 89, of Wheatfield, NY went to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, March 14, 2014. Born in South Buffalo, NY, he was a son of the late Martin and Mary Murray.

An avid outdoorsman and sports fan, Tim was always willing to help others, and worked for the Buffalo Police Department for 33 years, working his way up the ranks until he reached Lieutenant, and retired in 1986.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Jean (Rellinger) Murray he is survived by his four children, Carol (Doug) Gill of New Jersey, Kevin (Monica) Murray of Chicago, IL, Joan (James) Hagerty of Wheatfield, NY and Sharon (Michael) Wurz of Utica, NY; 10 grandchildren, Jenna, Adam, Erika, Michael, Jack, Jamie, Trevor, Meghan, Paige and Jillian; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, John (late Ruth) and Vincent Murray.

There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday March 17 ^th at 10:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Private entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
