Valerie A. Capello, 56, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Buffalo General.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Richard J. & Dolores M. (Bianco) Pittaro, Sr.

Val, as she was affectionately known, was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1980.  She went on to Buffalo State College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree.  Valerie was employed for 20 years at HSBC as a Senior Computer Programmer/ Analyst.  Val was an avid scrapbooker, enjoyed dancing and cooking, and loved cats.  Above all, she will be remembered as being a very generous and unselfish person who was like a mother to her niece and nephews and to the children of her friends.

In addition to her parents, Val is survived by her husband of 26 years, Herman P. Capello, her siblings, Natalie (Jeff) Gerber and Rick Pittaro, Jr., her nieces and nephews, Aubrey and Austin Gerber, Evan and Alex Pittaro, as well as cousins and friends, aunts and uncles.  Val was the daughter-in-law of Raul (late Aurora) Capello.

Val's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday December 28 ^th , at 12 Noon in St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY 14092 Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 780 W Ferry St, Buffalo, NY 14222 .  Arrangements by M.J.
