Varsen (Tarpinian) Fadel, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday December 24, 2012 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Khachig and Geneve (Andonian) Tarpinian.

Varsen was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In 1947 she married Edmund Leo Fadel at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Fadel predeceased her in 1969. Varsen was employed at E.I. DuPont and Moore Business Forms both in Niagara Falls, NY. She was an active member of St. Sarkis Armenian Church where she previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer. She was an avid fan of the Niagara University Purple Eagles basketball team and attended most of their games including last Sunday's game. In her leisure time, Varsen also enjoyed reading, traveling and spending the winter months in California. But most of all her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends and her cats Kobe and Sookie.

Mrs. Fadel is survived by one son Thomas M. Fadel of Youngstown, NY and was predeceased by one daughter Sandra Ann Fadel and one son Edmund Frederick Fadel. Survivors also include two granddaughters ,Tara Ann Fadel of Midway City, CA and Stacey Fadel, one brother Sidney Tarpinian of Long Beach, CA; one sister Sema (Stuart) Shepard of Wheatfield, NY and several uncles, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Marsha Fadel.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced.
