Vera Mac Donald, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 5, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosa (Chiazzese) Morganti.

Vera attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948. She married John S. Mac Donald on June 8, 1957 and he predeceased her on April 8, 2017.  Vera served as the Religious Education Director as well as Eucharistic Minister at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls, NY and as the Religious Education Director at St. Joseph's Church in Lockport, NY.  Vera also took great pride in coordination of the annual Niagara Falls High School class of 1948 reunion dinner.

Vera is survived  by her children, Rose (Joseph Sardina) Downs, John Mac Donald and Thomas (Jennifer) Mac Donald; grandchildren, Angela (Adam) Wylubski, Maurena (Daniel) Simone, Adriana Jean 'AJ' (Philip) Sampson, Joshua, Jack and Autumn Mac Donald; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (late William) Ryan and Rose (late Anthony) Lore; sister in law of Mayanne (late Richard) Joyce, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Vera was predeceased by siblings, Clara (late Carl) Mayhue, Diego "Dick" Morganti, Joseph Morganti, Charles Morganti, Carmen (late Josephine) Morganti, Anthony (late Beatrice) Morganti, Phillip (late Dorothy) Morganti, Sam (late Vi) Morganti, James (late Lou) Morganti and Carmella (late William) Archbold.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 9 ^th from 4-7 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 AM followed by Vera's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at Prince of Peace Church 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
