Verner Palesh, 86, of Buffalo, NY, passed away on November 2, 2022 at McAuley Residence in the Town of Tonawanda, NY. Born in Buffalo NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Satmary) Palesh.
Verner was raised in Buffalo. He served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1958. Verner was employed as a Brakeman and Conductor with ConRail/Erie-Lackawanna Railroad for 36 years, retiring in 1996. He later moved to Largo, FL, before returning home to Buffalo. Verner loved trains, and especially enjoyed antique train collecting. He will be remembered most for his great sense of humor.
Verner is survived by his daughters, Darlene L. (Russell) Carlo, Brenda L. (Drew) Pfirrman, Lisa M. Weatherby, and Tammy L. (James) Schmit; his grandchildren, Nicole (Joe) Lancellotti, Alicia McRoy, Amanda Rae Busch, Erika (Paul) Fabian, Corina (Charles Tadros) Van Camp, and Jenna Granto; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Charlotte, Grey, Juliette, Anthony, Veyda, and Emersyn; his brother, John (Carol) Palesh, his sister-in-law, "Tootsie" Palesh, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frank (late Evelyn) Palesh, Marion (late George) Eustace, Elmer (late MaryLou) Palesh, Lillian (late Joseph) Gonda, Gilda (late Glenn) Ryan, and George Palesh.
Private interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
