Victoria D. Pucci (Gagnon) of Niagara Falls, NY died peacefully in the home of her daughter, Victoria Giusiana of Lewiston, NY on Monday, June 25, 2012 surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was born on February 6, 1938 in Maniwaukee, Quebec, the daughter of the late Walter and Victoria Gagnon.
Victoria lived her early years in Haileybury, Ontario. She later settled in Niagara Falls, Ontario where she met her future husband Frederick. They married on July 15, 1969 and later moved to the United States, living in Youngstown and most recently in Niagara Falls, NY.
Victoria had a great love of animals and was an avid supporter of the Niagara County SPCA. She had many dear pets over the years that she enjoyed walking in local parks. Victoria's most joyous moments were those spent with beloved husband Fred, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her daughter Victoria, she is survived by her husband Frederick Pucci of Niagara Falls, NY; sons Derrick C. (Deborah) Thornbury of Welland, Ontario, Christopher A. (Julia) Pucci of Lewiston, NY and Paul F.(Anastasia) Pucci of Cary, North Carolina; daughter Catherine A. Pucci of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren Sonya, Victoria and Ruthann Thornbury, Noah and Jonah Giusiana, Alicia, Nicolas and Dominic Pucci; many great grandchildren; loving brothers and sisters Viola (late Fred) Fishleigh , Barry Gagnon, Ross (Terry) Gagnon, Bill Gagnon and Saralee (David) Plumpton all of Ontario; and Bruce Gagnon of Spain. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friends Sharon (Graham) Sibley of St Catharines, Ontario and Mildred Healey of Niagara Falls, Ontario. She was also predeceased by her brothers & sisters, Winifred Gagnon, Ken Gagnon, Keith Gagnon and Vonnie Gagnon
Friends may call Thursday June 28th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held Friday June 29th at 10AM with Rev. Leann McConchie officiating.
