Vincent "Vinny" Campanaro of Reno, NV, entered eternal rest December 17, 2018. The son of Italian immigrants, he was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 9, 1933, one of nine Campanaro children.
He attended Trott Vocational High School and worked at Kimberly-Clark until 1956 when he moved his young family to California. Years later he settled in Nevada.
In his youth, Vinny played both basketball and baseball in the Niagara Falls YMCA Industrial Factory Basketball League and the Industrial Softball League. His affection for his hometown family and friends never wavered.
Survived by adult children, David, Connie, Victor, Vincent, Matthew, Danielle and Anthony; plus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings, Ruth Gonzalez and Louis Campanaro.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 PM Saturday, June 1st at Holy Family of Jesus Mary & Joseph Parish (St. Joseph's site) ,1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
