Vincent "Jimmy" Fasso, 89, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on September 25 ^th , 2018, at Niagara Hospice House. Vince joined his fellow Merchant Seamen on their never-ending voyage aboard the S.S. Seafarer to all ports of call in the Universe. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Vincent and Mary (DeFranco) Fasso.

Vince attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  In 1951, he joined the Merchant Marines in Norfolk, VA and sailed on various types of merchant ships.  He attended the Merchant Marine Academy at Sheepshead Bay, NY for Steam Engineering and Coyne College in Chicago, IL for Electrical Technology.  He joined the Niagara Falls Board of Education in 1957 as a stationary foreman, and later worked as an engineer and maintenance foreman, retiring in 1991 after 34 years of service.  On April 1 ^st , 1967, he married Doris (Finkbeiner) Fasso in Lewiston, NY.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Vince is survived by his six children, Karen (Ron) Graap, Vincent "Jimmy" (Alice) Fasso, Jill Reddick, Steven (Mary Armstrong) Frank, Nancy (Kevin) St. Laurent, and Thomas Fasso; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Tony Fasso and Mae Fasso.
