Virginia C. Celenza, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 14
th
, 2018 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Chiodo) Costanzo.
Virginia was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and Bryant Stratton College. She married her loving husband, Joseph J. Celenza, Sr. on January 14, 1956 at St. Mary of the Cataract Church. Mr. Celenza predeceased her on August 18, 2014.
Virginia began working as a secretary for DuPont chemical company for several years and later was employed by Bier's Department Store and Cancemi Furniture. She also owned and operated Virginia's draperies, as well as the Holly Rankin House Bed and Breakfast alongside her husband until her retirement.
In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and golfing. Above all, she especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
Mrs. Celenza is survived by her children, John (Victoria) Celenza, Joseph (Judith) Celenza, Jr., Perry (late Catherine) Celenza and Valerie Celenza; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dr. Frank (late Gladys) Costanzo, Dr. Paul (late Dorothy) Costanzo, Joseph (Philomena) Costanzo and Carl (late Mary) Costanzo.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 21
