Vitalia was raised in Costa Rica, where she was employed as a nurse and midwife, and cook.  Later she worked as a Fashion Designer and seamstress for O'Leony in Costa Rica.  She came to the United States in 2006.  She married Juan Solórzano in 1951.  Mr. Solórzano predeceased her in 2002.  Mrs. Solórzano enjoyed cooking and gardening, and was an active member of the Senior Center of North Tonawanda.

Vitalia is survived by her eleven children, Juan Solórzano Medrano, Sonia Solórzano Medrano, Felicia Solórzano Medrano, Susana Solórzano Medrano, Nohemi Solórzano Medrano, Esther Solórzano Medrano, Patricia (Christopher) O'Donnell, Ninoshka Solórzano Medrano, Alfonso Solórzano Medrano, Adela Solórzano Medrano, and Gonzalo Solórzano Medrano.  She is also survived by several dozen grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9 ^th from 4 – 8 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 10 ^th at 10 A.M. at St Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston, NY.
