Wayne R. Snyder, 83, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Brookville, PA he was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Carr) Snyder.

Wayne was raised and educated in Pennsylvania, and served in the United States Navy from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1950. In his early 20's, he moved to the Niagara Falls area where he lived until the present time. Wayne was employed at General Motors Plant in Tonawanda, NY and retired in 1985 after thirty three years of service. Wayne was a member of the Masonic Lodge. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting die cast model cars.

Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Houghton) Snyder, four children, Susan (Robert) Borchert of Orchard Park, NY; Bonnie (Lee) Owens of Bainbridge, GA; Wayne (Lynette) Snyder of Sanborn, NY and Jeanette (Elwood) Conway of Malvern, PA; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, eight sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by five siblings.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 18th from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, concluding with a prayer service and Military Honors. Flowers are graciously declined.
