IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wayne Scott
Vigue
November 6, 2025
Wayne Scott Vigue, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Potsdam, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred "Jim" "Frenchy" and Audrey (Scott) Vigue.
Wayne moved to Niagara Falls as a child with his family when his father accepted a position at the Niagara Power Project. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1968 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1971.
On June 7, 1975, he married the love of his life, Diana (Schul) Vigue at the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Following his military service, Wayne began a long and dedicated career at CCMA (formerly SKW Alloys and Globe Metallurgical). He started in the plant and worked his way up to manage logistics for the organization. His experience and understanding of the industry was a significant asset. He retired in 2016 after decades of commitment and leadership.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who cherished hunting trips with his father in the Adirondacks and Southern Tier. He was also a passionate sports fan, faithfully cheering for the San Francisco Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres. Golfing brought him great joy, especially when lifelong friends came to town for their golf outings. He also loved doing puzzles, especially the Sunday crossword. He also considered himself an amateur weatherman, affectionately called Accu-Wayne by friends and family.
Above all, Wayne treasured his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren were the joy of his heart, and he found his deepest happiness in every moment spent with them.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Diana, Wayne is survived by his daughters, Nicole (Rishi Kumar) Vigue and Danielle (Matt Jennings) Vigue; his grandchildren, Ava Kumar, Mila Kumar, Bailey Jennings, Holden Jennings, Rowan Jennings and Matheson Jennings; his great-granddaughter, Alice; his siblings, Andrea Lawson, Susan Miller, Kathleen Courty, and was predeceased by his sister, Janice (late David) Miller; his brother in-laws, Howie (Theresa) Schul and Eric (Kate) Schul; sister in-laws Arlene (Ed) Stallard and was predeceased by sister-in-law Bonnie (Fred) Snyder. Wayne is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
