William D. 'Bill' Patti Jr., 68, of Lewiston, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late William, Sr. and Sarah (DeSantis) Patti; and the loving husband of Jeannine (Paul) Patti, who he married on August 26, 1978 in St. Joseph's Church.

Raised in Niagara Falls, Bill graduated from the former Bishop Duffy High School. His passion to serve as a police officer stemmed at a young age and led him to Niagara County Community College and Niagara University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Pursuing higher education, Bill achieved his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University.

For 26 years, Bill served as a New York State Park Police officer, retiring as a lieutenant in 2006. His commitment to protecting the community was unparalleled, serving as a teacher at the police academy and being a Marine Patrol Instructor. For ten years, Bill ran William D Patti & Son Polygraph Services with his father. Beyond his professional life, Bill was a proud member of the ISDA Volare Lodge #269.

In his free time, Bill found joy in going to the casino and honing his target shooting skills. Most of all, he cherished attending his children's sporting events and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, Bill is survived by his children, Nicole (Paul) Lane, William (Brieanna) Patti III, Frank (April) Patti, Anthony (Megan) Patti and Thomas (Kristina) Patti; his grandchildren, Penny Lane, Rigby Lane, Dominic Patti, D.J. Patti, Nicholas Patti, Matthew Patti, Olivia Patti, Jack Patti and Benjamin Patti; his sister, Marilyn (Michael) Feldhousen, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, January 13 from 2 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 AM, followed by Bill's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Breakthrough T1D (Juvenile Diabetes) at breakthrought1d.org.
