William A. Crandall, Jr., age 97, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Elderwood Skilled Nursing at Wheatfield.  Born in Lackawanna, NY he was the son of the late William A. and Ruth (Kitchen) Crandall, Sr.  Mr. Crandall's wife, Agnes W. (Winters) Crandall recently passed away on February 28, 2019.

William married Agnes W. Crandall (Winters) on April 7 1945.  William prior to joining the family business was an Engineer for Bell Aerospace, and was instrumental in the development of some of Bell's 1 ^st helicopters. William then took over as owner and operator of W.A. Crandall & Son's Inc. paint and wallpaper store which had two locations in Niagara Falls, NY for 68 years. He was an avid photographer and had a passion for the outdoors, farming, and tractors. He was also a pilot and at one time owned two planes. Above all, he was a devoted to his family and spending time with them.

William is survived by two children, William A. (Linda) Crandall, III and Patricia (Russ) Bachman and was predeceased by one daughter Donna F. Crandall. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Tiffin (David) Holland, Megan (Jonah) Kiehle, Larissa Bachman, Ethan Bachman, Theresa (Tim) Connors, William A. (Lisa) Crandall, IV, and Taryn (Jeff) Wierzbicki; four great-grandchildren, Adriyanna, Iyson, Weiler and Manox and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin on Friday, March 15 ^th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at M.J.
