William J. "Bill" Gee, Sr., 47, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lewiston, NY he was the son of the late Hubert I. Sr. and Irene G. (Tegda) Gee.

Bill attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1985 until 1991. From 1989 until 2001 Bill worked for the New York State Department of Corrections at various state prisons including Ossining, Sullivan, Auburn, Attica and Wende. He then became employed by the Niagara Falls Police Department from 2001 until the present time. He was a member and served on the Board of Directors of the Niagara Falls Police Club and the Judges, Police and Executives of Niagara County. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 247 in Niagara Falls, NY. Bill participated in the annual Police Department Tug-of-War competition as a member of the winning teams. Bill centered his life around his sons and his family. He loved his job particularly the comradery and brotherhood of a police officer. In his free time, Bill also enjoyed hunting.

William is survived by his wife Mary (Koshinski) Gee, two sons William Gee, Jr. and Cameron P. Gee both of Niagara Falls, NY; four step-sons Adam (Felicia) Kinney, Mitchell Kinney, Jordan Kinney and Ryan Kinney all of Niagara Falls, NY; two granddaughters Aubrey Kinney and Addison Kinney; two brothers and six sisters Hon. Hugh C. (Claire) Gee, Elizabeth Crapsi (Chris Lockwood) both of Lewiston, NY; Linda Mercurio, Rita (Dave) Czapla, Carol Gee all of Niagara Falls, NY; Edward Gee of West Palm Beach, FL; Mary Ann (Jack) Hedden of Sanborn, NY and Lorraine (Mike) Edwards of Las Vegas, NV; his nieces and nephews Brenden (Amanda) Gee, John Mercurio, Joseph and George Augstell, Becky Franke all of Niagara Falls, NY; Hugh (Megan) Gee, Jr. of Roanoke, VA; Anthony (Josie) Mercurio, Sr. of Arkansas; Amanda Tierney (Mike Burkholder) of Sanborn, NY; Savana (Alex) Bevacqua of Wilson, NY; Carmen Crapsi of Lewiston, NY; Emily, Ally and Phillip Irving of Las Vegas, NV; Robert, Jacob and Daniel Koshinski, Kayla and Gabrielle Hardy all of Niagara Falls, NY; his great nieces and nephews Madison, Connor, Graham, Johnny, Ayden, Keegan, Colden, Carson, Ava, Jocelyn, Anthony and Luke and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Hon. Paul Crapsi.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Rite of Christian Burial on Saturday November 23rd 12:00 Noon at St. Vincent De Paul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
