Obituary

William "Clark" Lantz, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday March 1, 2009 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Punxsutawney, PA he was the son of the late James and Tekla (Swanson) Lantz.

Clark came to the Niagara Falls area as a child with his family, attended local schools and served in the United States Marine Corps and the reserves in the 1950's. Clark owned and operated gas stations on Main Street and Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY. He was also employed at Chisholm Ryder also in Niagara Falls, NY. He was a past member of the Lions Club. Clark was a sports enthusiast and particularly enjoyed hunting, golfing, and bowling and participated in various area bowling leagues in his younger years. He also liked riding motorcycles and was very knowledgeable with mechanics and able to fix automobile and motorcycle engines. When Clark made friends, he was your friend for life, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Rose M. (Badiali) Lantz; one daughter Joanne (Russell) Fletcher of Ransomville, NY; four step children Dennis (Susan) Oney of Wyoming, Kathleen (Kurt) Bransford of California, Timothy (Kathryn) Oney of Maryland, and Mark (Terrilee) Oney of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren Michelle, Teagan, Danielle, Jessica, Eric, Kyle, and Ryan; two great-grandchildren Mia and Dom; two sisters Mary (late George) Golias of North Tonawanda, NY and Vivian Reynolds of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Robert Lantz and his former wife Helen Lantz.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral

services will be held on Thursday March 5th at 10:30 AM with Pastor James Lantz officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
